The Power of Vision

2020 was a difficult year. We experienced a global pandemic. Social unrest. Political turmoil. And economic uncertainties. We shut down our churches for a while. And we launched digital platforms. When we reopened, we faced obstacles. Masking required. Social distancing. Fears of the unknown. In spite of the difficulties, many churches also experienced the power of vision.

One of the early goals for church revitalization is for members to understand and fully engage with the vision. This conversation took place at Huffman Baptist Church in Birmingham, Alabama on January 10, 2021 during our annual state of the church report. As these members reflected on the difficulties of 2020, they also shared how God used their engagement with HBC’s mission to bring life transformation.

HBC Vision

By 2025 we will become a family of churches who are sending transformed people to make Jesus known across the street and around the world.

Engaging with the vision in this way unleashes the power of vision.
